Thursday, August 24th.
After breakfast John and I drove to Leighton Buzzard to visit a couple of friends, Jamie and Matt, and wish Jamie a happy birthday and pick up a key they were giving us so that we can use their flat in Cardiff. We had a coffee with them in a little coffee place and then we left his car at their place and walked the fifteen minutes to the train.

John had some mediation work to do today in London, so we took the train to London and the Underground to Picadilly Circus. While he worked I had four and a half hours to wander around. I visited Picadilly Circus, St James Park and watched the variety of water fowl, Trafalgar Square, the Soho District, the West End theatre district and just generally people watched and soaked up the atmosphere of downtown London and all the tourists.

When we met up at six we started back home, but as usual with John we almost went on the wrong train as he was going home as he usually would, forgetting that he had left the car in Leighton. Luckily I pointed that out. Then when we got back to Leighton Buzzard we couldn't find the car and had to wander around for a bit, luckily it's not a big place. On the ride back we stopped and picked up Indian food that Dottie had ordered. We had a nice curry meal and caught up with our families.
